Noise station was designed to produce high quality music on any PC by emulation. Fast but low quality previews would be available while composing before producing a final version direct to disk. The program uses engines, a component that creates or modifies sound to create effects on an instrument, track, or song basis. No extra hardware like a MIDI keyboard is needed or supported. This software is ideal for control freaks. Real time recording doesn't exist, instead events are layed down almost like the music is being programmed, just like in tracker software.
